Ice Caves
Granite Falls, WA
September 2018
Labor Day weekend my friend Mish and I day tripped on the motos to the Big Four Ice Caves. Good snowpack and hot summer winds sculpt this pile of avalanche debris into a masterpiece every year. The north facing caves never fully melt because they’re perpetually tucked in the shadow of the peaks above. A thin waterfall cascades down the five hundred foot cliff and the breeze gradually opens the exit. By the end of summer they reach epic proportions. V chill place to fight a horde of wildlings.
